Munirabad has an average literacy rate of 75%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 82%, and female literacy is 68%. In Munirabad, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age. This is mostly an industrial area.It is full of greenery and very peaceful. Tungabhadra river is situated near to this place. A huge dam is built on this river. One can also go to Humpi which was built by Raja Krishna Dev Raya which is in Hospet, if one travels by a car or train from here.

When Rama and Laxman were going to find Sita Mata they met Shabri,who was a devotee of Lord Rama,at Pampa Sarover which is near Munirabad.Bali Kila(Bali's Fort) is also situated near this place. One can also have a visit to Rishyamookh Hill where Lord Rama and Hanuman met for the first time.
